If you have been quoted for dental implants in the UK or somewhere else in Europe, there's a good chance the number made you stop and think. Implants are one of the best ways to replace missing teeth, but they are also one of the most expensive treatments in dentistry. That is exactly why so many patients now look at Antalya, Turkey as an alternative.

In this guide, we compare what dental implants typically cost in the UK, Germany and France with what you can expect to pay in Antalya. We also look at what a quote should include, where hidden costs tend to appear and what you should check before you book anything.

How Much Does a Dental Implant Cost in the UK?

In the UK, dental implants are almost always private treatment. The NHS only funds them in exceptional cases, such as after trauma or cancer surgery, so most people pay the full price themselves.

A single implant with the abutment and crown usually costs somewhere between £2,000 and £3,500, and many patients are quoted around £2,500. In central London, especially around Harley Street, quotes can go much higher. If you need a full arch, All-on-4 treatment in the UK commonly costs £10,000 to £18,000 per jaw.

On top of that, many UK practices charge separately for the consultation, the CT scan and any bone grafting. So the figure in an advert is not always the figure you end up paying.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost in Europe?

Prices across Western Europe are not far behind the UK.

Germany: a single implant with crown usually costs between €1,700 and €3,400. Public health insurance does not cover the implant itself and only gives a fixed subsidy towards the crown, so most of the bill falls on the patient.

France: a single implant, including the abutment and crown, usually costs between €1,500 and €2,500. Full arch treatment can reach €16,000 to €20,000 per jaw.

Other Western European countries, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Switzerland, tend to fall in a similar or higher range. Switzerland in particular is known as one of the most expensive places in Europe for dental work.

Some patients look at Eastern Europe, such as Hungary, Poland or Croatia, where prices are lower than in Western Europe. Turkey, and Antalya in particular, usually offers lower prices still, along with direct flights from many UK and European cities and a warm climate for recovery.

Dental Implant Prices at a Glance

The table below shows typical price ranges in pounds sterling for a single implant and forAll-on-4 treatment, so you can compare the UK, Europe and Antalya side by side.

CountrySingle Implant with CrownAll-on-4 (per jaw)
United Kingdom£2,000 – £3,500£10,000 – £18,000
Germany£1,450 – £2,900£10,000 – £17,000
France£1,300 – £2,150£13,500 – £17,000
Antalya, Turkey£500 – £1,000£3,500 – £7,000

Prices are approximate ranges, with euro prices converted to pounds. They can change depending on the implant brand, the crown material and whether you need extra procedures such as bone grafting. Your exact price can only be confirmed after an examination and a 3D scan.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost in Antalya, Turkey?

In Antalya, a single dental implant with a crown generally costs a fraction of UK and Western European prices. Depending on the implant brand, the crown material and your bone condition, patients often save 50 to 70 percent compared with what they were quoted at home.

The savings become even bigger with full mouth treatment. When you need several implants or a full arch solution, the difference between a UK quote and a quote from Antalya can often cover your flights, your hotel and a few extra days of holiday.

The exact price for your case can only be given after a proper examination and a 3D scan. Anyone who promises a fixed price without seeing your X-rays is guessing.

Why Are Dental Implants More Affordable in Turkey?

Lower prices in Turkey do not have to mean lower quality materials. The difference mainly comes from the cost of running a clinic.

Rent, staff wages, laboratory fees and general operating costs are much lower in Turkey than in the UK or Western Europe. Many clinics in Antalya also have an in-house laboratory, so crowns and bridges are made on site without paying an outside lab.

High patient volume is another reason. Clinics that treat international patients every week work directly with implant manufacturers, buy materials in larger quantities and can keep their prices steady.

Most well-established clinics in Turkey use the same internationally known implant brands you would find in a UK practice. Even so, it is always worth asking which brand will be used in your treatment.

What Should a Dental Implant Quote Include?

When you compare prices, make sure you are comparing the same thing. A low price sometimes covers only the titanium screw, not the full tooth.

A complete implant quote should clearly state whether it includes:

  • The consultation and examination
  • The panoramic X-ray or 3D CT scan
  • The implant itself and its brand
  • The abutment that connects the implant to the crown
  • The final crown and its material, such as zirconia or porcelain
  • Temporary teeth during the healing period
  • Any bone grafting or sinus lift, if needed
  • Follow-up checks and the guarantee

If you have bone loss, extra procedures may be needed before the implants can be placed. You can read more about this in our guide to All-on-4 implants with bone loss.

Don't Forget the Travel Costs

To get an honest comparison, add your travel costs to the Turkey price. Most implant treatments need two visits. On the first trip, the implants are placed. After a healing period of around three to six months, you come back for the final crowns.

For each trip, you should budget for:

  • Return flights to Antalya
  • Accommodation
  • Local transport, though many clinics include airport and hotel transfers
  • Meals and personal spending

Even with two trips, most patients from the UK and Europe still save a significant amount, especially for multiple implants or All-on-4 and All-on-6 treatment. Many patients also choose to combine their treatment with a holiday in Antalya and spend a few extra days by the sea.

Single Implant vs Full Mouth: Where Do You Save the Most?

If you only need one implant, the saving is real but more modest once flights and hotels are added. For a single tooth, it is worth doing the maths carefully.

Patients who need several implants, a full arch or a smile makeover combined with implants usually save the most. In these cases, the difference between UK or European prices and Antalya prices can run into thousands of pounds or euros.

If you are trying to decide between full arch options, our article on All-on-4 or All-on-6 explains the main differences.

Is It Safe to Get Dental Implants in Turkey?

Price should never be the only reason you choose a clinic. A cheap implant that fails will cost you far more in the long run.

Before you book, check the dentist's qualifications and experience with implants, the implant brand and its warranty, and real patient reviews with before and after photos. It is also important to know whether the clinic gives you a written treatment plan and a clear guarantee, and how aftercare works once you are back home.

Our guide on choosing a dentist in Turkey goes through these points in more detail.

How Long Do Implants Last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, dental implants can last for decades, and for many patients a lifetime. The crown on top may need replacing after 10 to 15 years, but the implant itself is designed to stay. Things like smoking, gum disease and poor cleaning habits can shorten their life, so aftercare matters as much as the surgery.
